DerpCon Winner - Brazil

Hello again everyone! :)

Another DerpCon winner was chosen recently and it was the lucky Mariana 
( @imtriplex ) who is 21 years old and she will be representing Brazil at DerpCon in LA on November 16th! :D

I got the chance to chat with her and talk all about her experience of winning! :) She tells me; "To enter the competition we had to make a 5 second video showing our love for 5SOS. I made a stop motion of myself skateboarding, running and paddling to get to Hollywood to see the 5SOS concert."

When she found out she had won, Mariana tells me; "I heard my name on the radio, I didn't know if what I heard was true or not! 

She continues, "First, I got very anxious and thought I was going to be sick. My friend called me and I couldn't speak properly!"

On how she feels now about the prospect of going to DerpCon, Mariana tells me, "I am very excited! Especially because we don't know anything about DerpCon, like where it is going to be! And I can't wait to meet the boys and especially seeing them perform as they have never been to Brazil before!"

Mariana is the 16th DerpCon winner (that I have been able to get in contact with!) So congratulations to her! :D

DerpCon is literally just around the corner, so watch out as more winners will be unveiled in the coming week!

DerpCon Winner - Canada

Hi everyone!

Canada chose it's DerpCon winner yesterday and it was lucky 17 year old Jade ( @Calums2ndBass ) who was selected from all the amazing entries!

The Much competition consisted of entrants making up a Superhero and posting a different picture everyday on Instagram showing off your creation. Jade explains to me, "My costume was Canadian mutant ninja turtle, inspired by the boys love of ninja turtles."

I asked Jade how she felt about winning and she said, "I feel so honoured and excited!" 

Jade has been lucky enough to see 5sos perform live twice before with One Direction but has never actually met them, so she is really excited about that!

Congratulations to lucky Jade who will have a great time at DerpCon!

DerpCon Winner - Denmark

Hello 5SOS fam and others alike, Denmark chose it's DerpCon winner recently and today I bring you all the information about the winner!

The lucky winner for Denmark was 15 year old Emilie ( @EmilieA009 ) and she tells me all about her experience of how she won DerpCon!!

She explains what she and her friend did to enter; "We made a video where we sang Don't Stop and dressed up as superheroes. Like an imitation of the Don't Stop music video."

To announce the winners, Denmark brought all the DerpCon finalists to a cinema in Copenhagen, when Emilie found out she won she explains; "A video of the boys played on the screen and they told us that we had won! It was so crazy, we cried and cried!" 

After all the excitement of winning and reflecting on the whole thing Emilie tells me; "I feel so blessed. I can't believe that I actually won. It's just so surreal."

Emilie has never met the boys and has never saw them perform before so she is really excited to have the opportunity to go and finally et to do those things!

Congratulations to Emilie, Denmarks' DerpCon winner! A truly deserving winner :)

DerpCon Winner - Austria

Hello lovely people! The Austrian DerpCon winner was announced recently and I was able to get the chance to talk to her all about her experiences of winning this amazing competition! :) Her name is Elisa ( @voodxxmuke ) who is 16 years old (17 in 4 weeks!)

She tells me all about what she had to do to enter the Austrian competition; "All we had to do was take a picture of ourselves and write a message for 5SOS. For my entry I actually drew a picture of the boys and then photoshopped myself into the picture."

On when she was contacted to say she had won, Elisa explains to me; "I was out eating pizza with my parents when I got the email that I had won. At first I thought it was a bad joke, I read the email 10 times over! When I realized it wasn't fake I completely freaked out! I was kinda embarrassed because people in the restaurant stared at me weirdly but at the same time I didn't give a f**k, I was just so happy!"

Since winning DerpCon, Elisa tells me; "I haven't stopped smiling, I still can't believe it, I probably won't believe it until I am actually there! I never thought I would win, I just hoped for the best."

To me Elisa seems like a very deserving winning to go to DerpCon, she put in so much effort to her entry. She has never met 5SOS before but she does have tickets to their tour next year, which she is really excited about as well.

DerpCon Winner - Australia (Bump Show #2)

Hi everyone, another DerpCon winner comes to us today in the form of the second Australian Bump Show winner, she is called Cloe ( @cloesmoothly ) who is 17 years old.

For her entry, Cloe entered at the FanCam in the shopping centre and she also entered online, where they had to answer a 5sos related question. I got Cloe to tell me everything about winning DerpCon and so she tells me; "The day before the winner was announced my mum got a call asking if all my details were correct and if I was allowed to go to DerpCon, although I wasn't the winner yet."

On the actual day that she was announced the winner, Cloe explains to me; "I had my HSC exams on the day, I woke up super early to see if I had won the sunrise competition, which I didn't and so I started freaking out incase they rang me during my exams but luckily they didn't!"

The day that Cloe was announced as the winner was the day that 5SOS were performing on the X Factor in Australia and she was going to see them at the show. She tells me; "When I got the phone call from them I was actually getting ready to go see them at the X Factor, I was actually naked talking to them as I had just gotten out of the shower!" I think that this is a hilarious story and the funniest story a DerpCon winner has had yet! :D

As 5SOS actually rang and spoke to Cloe personally live on the Bump Show she tells me; "I was sooo nervous speaking to them, I stumbled on my words and I said I was on the shower (instead of in it) and Michael thought I said I was on the shitter! Then Luke (my favourite) told me that I had won and that I was going to DerpCon!"

Cloe had a once in a lifetime opportunity of speaking to 5SOS on the radio and now she also got the news of going to DerpCon, she tells me; "I was just like 'This can't be real.' The first thing I did was ring my friends and family and told them all I had won. It's insane, I can't concentrate on my exams because I'm too excited!"

Cloe has never met 5SOS but she has seen them in concert in Sydney in 2013 and at the 1D concert. She has saw them live at their Sydney show this year and then at the X Factor on the day she was announced the winner! :) After going to see them that many times, Cloe definitely deserves to meet the boys, she says "I am so stoked to actually meet them!"

DerpCon Winner - France (@Fan2fr)

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing great! :)

Another DerpCon winner was announced and it was for the Fan2 France competition, so congratulations to Moniek ( @Supermoniek ) who is 15 years old :)

This competition (in my opinion!) has been the longest and most complex of them all as there were 3 stages in which you had to go through in order to win! The first stage was to send in a picture of yourself as a superhero, out of which 100 people were chosen to go through to the second stage.

In the second stage you had to make a parody of the chorus of the lyrics from She Looks So Perfect and from this 50 people of the 100 were selected for the 3rd and final round which was to create a video of why you should go to DerpCon and why you are their number 1 fan. Out of the 50 finalists, 5 videos were chosen and then 5SOS chose the winner themselves.

When Moniek got DMed by Fan2fr she told me; "I didn't expect it at all, I thought someone else would win!"

She goes on; "I felt like crying and shaking. The first thing I did was called my best friend and then my mom and then my dad!

On when she was contacted to say she had won, Moniek said; "I was outside of school and I turned on my mobile data and saw the DM, I still can't believe it. I still think something will happen and I won't be able to go." Hopefully that doesn't happen!!

Moniek has never met or saw the boys before but is going to their 2015 tour :)

DerpCon Winner - Portugal

A new DerpCon winner has been announced and it is for the Portugal competition! The lucky winner is 17 year old Rita ( @ARitaSilveira ) 

On what she had to do to win, Rita explained to me; "I had to make a video in 5 Seconds showing them why I really wanted to go to DerpCon."

When Rita was contacted to say that she had won she tells me that; "I wasn't expecting it because I thought I didn't have any opportunity of winning!"

She goes on to say, "I was in school when they called and I was shaking so much, I almost fainted!"

Rita also told me that she has never saw them live before or met them because they had to cancel their opening act for WWA tour in Portgual, so she is so excited to finally see them live as well as go to DerpCon!

On how she is feeling now about winning, Rita tells me; "I still can't believe it I am really nervous, I have never felt like this before."

Congratulations to Rita, a very deserving winner! I hope you enjoy yourself in LA at DerpCon!

We are getting closer now to DerpCon, it is just under a month to go!! And there are still DerpCon winners to be announced!!
